I spent much of my adult life as an entrepreneur in business for myself before selling out and heading to seminary at the young age of 40. I pastored three churches as lead/sr. pastor and have served seven churches as Transitional Pastor. In addition, I served as President and CEO of Ky. Baptist Assemblies and the founder of what is now Crossings Camps, of which I am currently vice-president of development.
My ministry is to serve churches seeking to successfully navigate the period from which a pastor prepares to leave (or has left) his church and the calling of his successor. The length of this transitional period "between pastors" is usually anywhere from 6 to 18 months, depending on the determined role of the transitional pastor and the search process.
I am often asked,"Why the mountain scenery on the website?" For me, the mountains represent both the place where I often feel closest to our Creator God and the corresponding peace that He brings. However, those same mountains are also a reminder of the challenges that we often face in life and in the church, particularly when churches find themselves in transition.
